Biography of Mrs. Yamberli Cruz
Mrs. Yamberli Cruz is a highly experienced and dedicated educational leader who currently serves as the Founding Principal of Venetian Parc Academy. With a career spanning over two decades, she has a proven track record of creating positive and effective learning environments and enhancing student achievement.
Mrs. Cruz holds a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Leadership from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida International University. She is a certified professional educator in Florida, with certifications in Educational Leadership and General Science. Her expertise includes curriculum development, personnel management, financial management, and instructional leadership.
Prior to her role at Venetian Parc Academy, Mrs. Cruz was the Principal at Joe Hall Elementary School from February 2023 to June 2025, where she successfully increased the school's FL DOE grade from 64% to 67%. While there, she also initiated various enrichment clubs, including robotics, coding, art, music, and chess. From 2015 to January 2023, she served as the Assistant Principal at Pinecrest Elementary School, where she led the faculty in achieving multiple STEM Gold School designations and supported the 2019 VEX Robotics Elementary School State Champions. Mrs. Cruz also played a key role in the opening of South Dade Middle School as a Magnet Lead Teacher from 2007 to 2015.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Cruz has been recognized for her leadership, including the Exceeding Expectations in Student Achievement award in 2025, FLDOE School of Excellence award in 2023 and the STEM Gold School designation for Joe Hall Elementary School in the same year. She is committed to fostering collaboration among administrators, teachers, parents, and the community to improve student outcomes. Her professional skills include being bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows for effective communication with a diverse community.
